RF Microneedling

The treatment may be particularly interesting for enlarged pores, uneven or coarse skin texture, fine lines, decreasing skin firmness, acne scars and other sunken scars as well as stretch marks. These areas of application are also listed in the device documentation.

With classic microneedling the focus is on controlled mechanical stimulation with fine needles. With RF microneedling, radiofrequency energy is added. The energy is delivered into the tissue in a targeted way via the needles. The treatment therefore combines the mechanical stimulation of microneedling with a controlled thermal stimulus. The goal is an improvement in skin texture and a firmer, smoother and more refined-looking complexion.

After the skin has been cleansed and prepared, the selected area is treated systematically with the RF microneedling handpiece. The skin is then calmed and cooled. The device concept also provides for cooling of the treated area after the treatment.

The skin may be red immediately afterwards. Slight swelling, a feeling of warmth or small spot reactions are also possible. These reactions are likewise described in the device documentation. After the treatment the skin should be cared for particularly carefully and consistently protected from intense sun exposure. The device documentation also recommends temporarily avoiding sauna, swimming and intensive physical exertion.

The number of treatments and the intervals between them are determined individually. They depend, among other things, on the initial condition of the skin, the area treated and the desired treatment goal. We therefore recommend a personal consultation and a skin analysis first.
